The fifth-year quarterback underwent season-ending shoulder surgery by Dr. James Andrews Tuesday after Sanchez hurt his right shoulder in the Jets’ third preseason game against the Giants. Sanchez was in attendance at the Jets game in Atlanta Monday night.Though the Jets placed Sanchez on the short-term IR earlier this season, it became increasingly apparent that Sanchez would likely have to have surgery to resolve his injury.
